Who is Desmond Lawrence
My name is Desmod Lawrence. I am 50 years old and I have been incarcerated for almost 25 years. I am from Dallas, Texas. I was born to Isiah Lawrence and Joann Lawrence. In 1991 my mother lost her battle to Cancer leaving my father to raise 14 children alone. I am the 4th child of 14 children. Since I been incarcerated my baby sister Lakendra was killed in a domestic violence dispute with her significant other. In 2002 my twin brother was tragically gunned down due to street violence. I am a dedicated father of 2 children. Since I have been incarcerated my youngest son Davion was brutally murdered in 2022. While growing up in jail I have given my life over to Christ. I realized that God is the only person that can fight this battle with me. I have made it my purpose to mentor other inmates to show them the right way to handle life. I attend courses to better myself and to gain knowledge for my future. For 24 years I have been fighting for my innocence. In that time I have been working on becoming the best man, father, sibling and friend I can be. Praying that God reveals the truth to everyone around me.
